Thyolo Community Craft Centre was built by Nchima Trust on land donated to Nchima Trust by Nchima Tea Estate. The building has been there for a number of years and now houses a group of ladies who make hand made paper and Hudson, John and Arthur who between them they make the paper into cards. They also make beadwork and mobiles and animals made from wire.

The site is being expanded thanks to help from Nchima Tea Estate we are building a managers house and a small shop. Any time now a composting toilet is being installed and we are going have another attempt to drill a borehole. The first attempt came to nothing but indications are that there is water on the site. This is preferable to piped water as the paper making takes a huge amount water.
