The Nchima Trust is based in the UK. Funds are transmitted to Malawi and then distributed, by the Trust's Representative, to individuals or organisations whose applications have been approved by the Trustees.

Applications for grants may be made directly to the Hon. Secretary in the UK, or the Representative in Malawi, either by individuals or through established groups and organizations with which the Trust is in contact - schools, missions, hospitals or other charitable enterprises based in Malawi.

If you think that you or your group merit the assistance of The Nchima Trust, please apply in writing to the Hon. Secretary, giving specific details of your requirements, with costs in kwacha. Every application receives close attention. Grants are awarded to those persons or groups whose projects appear likely to be of direct benefit to the person concerned and/or to the community.

Please Note: Grants will not usually be given to any person who wishes to study or travel outside Malawi. Applications can only be made by people born in Malawi.
