Dear Josie,
It has been a long time since I last wrote to you. But I am sure that this mail will find you in good health. Apart from battling with asthma, I can say that my life is also good.
Firstly, I want to let you know that we are on 2009 academic year first semester holiday but we are opening the second semester this coming Monday, 24th August, 2009. This semester will probably be the last for me to spend at college since our course was designed in a way that the fourth year is for hands on training in the industry. We will be allocated to companies where we will have further practical training and assessment for the whole next year. This means you will not be required to pay my fees for 2010 academic year. I will tell you more details once the allocation list is released. However, I may not be able to write you soon because I will be too mobile throughout the second semester. This is the case because being the last; the second semester is mostly dedicated to projects (also called dissertation in other courses). So I will be collecting data in different places for my paper. I am not yet decided but I am thinking of doing a research on something that will relate IT to health or Gender based Violence.
Lastly, allow me to express my appreciation to the entire Nchima Trust for the assistance you have been rendering to me and my young brother who is also winding up his secondary education this year. He is so grateful for your assistance and he told me that he will write you in his own words once he finishes final exams. I was beginning to get worried when I heard from Heikens that the financial crisis has hit Nchima so hard. Other organizations that sponsor students at our college withdrew their sponsorship due to the same crisis and I was really getting nervous as to what will happen to us. I know it was not easy for the trust, but thanks for making sure that some of us finish our studies even in most difficult times like the financial crisis.
God bless you all, and God bless Nchima Trust.
